Macau director Emily Chan’s take on the changes of her city since its handover in 1999 through a story about youth, music and first love. The story revolves around a relentless and passionate pursuit of music among teenagers and their constant explorations of self-values, starting with Winson adjusting himself to a new school, at a time shortly before Macau’s handover in 1999.
About the director
Emily Chan is a young aspiring screenwriter, director and producer who holds a master's degree by Reming University, China. In 2013, she self-financed the filming of her first co-produced work Timing. She has won The Best Film program in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Film Production Investment and Trade Fair in 2014 and 2015. Her latest project was chosen for the The Golden Horse Film Project Promotion 2018, the first Macao film ever selected. This project was also the winner of the “2016 Support Programme for the Production of Feature Films” of Subsidy Programme Series for Macao’s Cultural and Creative Industries.
