A special documentary shot between 1994 and 1997 by the Portuguese Director Ivo M. Ferreira who lived in Macao for four years and his friend António Pedro before the return of the city to China. With foreigners’ unique perspective and sense, the documentary follows an old man shuttle the alleys of the city, ordinary citizens such as hawkers, sh-sellers in the markets and even prostitutes in night clubs. Looking back on the cityscape 20 years ago, it is denitely a wonderful viewing experience.

Ivo Ferreira was born in September 1975 in Lisbon, Portugal. He is a director and actor, known for Letters From War (Cartas da Guerra), O Estrangeiro (2010) and Hotel Império (2018). Letters From War was selected to compete for the Golden Bear at the 66th Berlin International Film Festival, where it had its world premiere.
