An old man with a limp, Khim-Hok, has depended on his wife over the years. They live in an old house on the urban fringe of Taipei. After his wife suddenly passes away, Khim-Hok puts her in ok to an old freezer and goes on living a seemingly peaceful life. But their long-estranged son and his new partner suddenly appears, so Khim-Hok has to face his wife's death when the end finally comes.

About the Director

Peng Tzu-Hui

Nascida em Taiwan, Peng é uma artista e cineasta formada pelo Departamento de Belas Artes da Universidade Nacional de Artes de Taiwan. Ela começou a fazer o mestrado em Produção Artística na Universidade Politécnica de Valência em 2014. O seu trabalho abrange pintura, cerâmica e cinema. Apresentou exposições na Europa e em Taiwan, incluindo Independent Land, On the Verge e Transformation of the Universe, assim como a peça de arte em vídeo A Creation Project.


About the Director

Wang Ping-Wen

Nascida em Taiwan em 1987, Wang estudou Jornalismo na Universidade Nacional Chengchi e graduou-se com um Mestrado em Produção de Cinema e Televisão pela Universidade Loyola Marymount. Dirigiu as curtas-metragens Between Us, Labyrinth e Military Dog. É aluna do Workshop Produire au Sud Taipei 2018 e Talent Tokyo 2019.


About the Cinematographer

Yokuke Kato

Borned in Nagoya, Japan and grew up in Chicago, USA from 1989 to 1993. After receiving B.A. in literature from Waseda University, he started his career at Pyramid Film in Tokyo. He subsequently went to get trained at London Film School, where he specialized in cinematography and refined his artistic craft as a filmmaker. While earning his master's degree, he worked as an assistant camera and a spark on the set. After a while, he got opportunities operating film cameras and directing photography on independent films; besides, some of these films have screened at festivals of note including Cannes, Edinburgh and Busan International Film Festival, with the addition of several awards.






About the Cinematographer

Sou Waikin

Director of Photography born in Macao. His cinematographic works include Kissing the Ground You Walked On which earned him his first nomination of Best Cinematography at the 59th Golden Horse Award. His other work includes A Journey in Spring and upcoming films include The Walking Bird and The Fortune Tower which are in post-production currently.

The Cinematheque・Passion is located at Travessa da Paixão which is a narrow and romantic bystreet branching off the famous World Heritage Site "Ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral" (the "St. Paul's Cathedral Site") in the Historic Centre of Macau. A three-storey building equipped with ticket office, screening room, control room, film information room and exhibition space.
